12/04/19 Many thanks to the members of The Hub who organised an Easter Hunt for us. We loved it!!
11/04/19 This morning we enjoyed a lovely walk in Gosford, looking for signs of Spring.
09/04/19 Today we released our butterflies into the conservation area. It was lovely to be able to hold some of them before they flew away. It was just amazing to watch our little caterpillars grow and change. We celebrated this afternoon with a 'Butterfly Party'
05/04/19 SUPER EXCITED! Today we were able to watch four of our painted lady butterflies emerge from their cocoons. Just one more to go!
05/04/19 Sincere thanks to Austin's Mum for coming in to our class this morning. Not only did she educate us on the lifecycle of the butterfly but she helped us to make 'caterpillar twists' which were really yummy. Thank you Sue
This morning (04/04/19) we had the opportunity to enjoy a story in the library van which visited school. Many thanks to John, the librarian for being so patient with us!
Thank you to Charlie's Mum for bringing two fluffy chicks in to our classroom. They got lots of cuddles and we enjoyed Charlie telling us all about them.
SUPER EXCITED!! We have cocoons! To date we have four and just this afternoon (Wednesday 20th March) our final caterpillar has begun the process. Looking forward to our 'Butterfly Party'.
Today (Friday 15th March) we said a fond farewell to Miss Baird. She has spent three and a half weeks in our class on teaching practice. We have thoroughly enjoyed having her and want to wish her all the very best for the futue. We really will miss you, Miss Baird.

World Book Day - Thursday 7th March 2019. A big thank you to all who came in to read us stories. It was a real treat and very much appreciated by us all!
World Maths Day - Wednesday 6th March 2019. Today we engaged in lots of practical numeracy activities both inside the clasroom and in the playground.
Mrs Lowry, our school crossing patrol lady popped in to visit Primary One to explain how we should cross the road safely.
What excitement!! Mrs Freeburn arrived in to our classroom this morning (Friday 1st March 2019) with a special parcel for us - our own little caterpillars.
We went on a 'Welly Walk' to look at the different buildings in our local area and how many of them have changed over the years. Thankfully we didn't need our wellies. The sun was shining and we had a most enjoyable morning.
