As part of our application to renew our Green Eco Flag, we recently completed an exciting unit of work on active travel.
We began by watching videos exploring different types of transport and how they have changed over the years. After this, pupils completed an activity where they identified various modes of transport and sorted them into categories: past, present, or both.
To share our findings, we took part in a lively walking debate, discussing how and why transport has developed over time and exploring reasons for any discrepancies in our opinions.
This was a fun, practical, and engaging way to introduce the topic, helping us think about how travel choices impact our environment.
Task 1: Transport Past and Present
Completing the activity in our Active Travel booklets first, then time for a walking debate to show our findings.
