Cereal Adverts - Room Eight become Junior Apprentices

In our literacy lately we have been studying media and advertising.  The children started by studying advertisements from magazines and learned about the different features of these.  The children were given a brief from which they had to design a product - a new cereal which was nutritious, appealing to children and cost effective.

We then studied different types of movie shot and analysed a TV advert for Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and from this we designed our own story board for an advert for our product.

We took shots based on our storyboard and then used these to make our adverts.  The children themselves assessed their results and they were able to state how they would improve their work next time.

The group who were hired by Mrs Chapman & Mrs Murdock was Fruity Biscuits.  Their movie was a good length and included a great variety of shots.  It was also very creatively put together.  The children's choice was Monster Crunch.  Congratulations to all!!
