Chocolate sweetie house
Today was the best day in school....EVER!!
We have been learning about Fairytales and the story of 'Hansel and Gretel' so when Mrs Black saw a competition to win a house made entirely of chocolate she just knew we had to have it!!
There was only one problem...she had to guess the weight in kilograms and as we only measure using non-standard units, like paper-clips and cubes, we couldn't help her!
So...she made an educated guess at 4.6kg and guess what? WE WON!!
Today, the lovely Owen Matchett from Williams Estate Agents in Portadown arrived at school with our chocolate house. To say we were excited is an understatement. Mrs Black felt terrible breaking the house for us to eat, especially when Owen said it took a chocolate maker 10 hours to make it!!! However, needs must and we all thoroughly enjoyed our chocolate feast.
Mrs Black would just like to take this opportunity to apologise for any sore bellies or potential cavities inflicted on your babies today! However, the look on their faces was priceless!!
