On Monday 23rd November we went on a trip to The Palace Stables. A lady talked to us about the Palace and the Archbishop who lived there with lots of servants. Then we went outside and played with a few toys, before meeting our teacher for the day, Mr Morgan. He checked our hands and shoes and then brought us into the classroom. Mr Morgan was very strict. He had a cane. We had to stand to answer a question and call him 'Sir'. We answered lots of questions and wrote on a slate. Then, in the kitchen we learned about lots of different objects and what they were used for. After that we went outside and followed clues to the Chapel, the sun dial, the glass house, the whistling tunnel and the ice house. We had an enjoyable morning but are glad that Mr Morgan is not our teacher every day!
