  • Easter Egg Hunt (P1 – P3) & Break the Rules Day (P4 - P7) - Friday 12 April 2019

    Easter Egg Hunt (P1 - P3)

    Pupils will have the opportunity to go outside in their classes and search for Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny has dropped off that morning in MPS!  The cost for each child is £1.

     

     

    Break The Rules Day (P4 – P7)

    Pupils will be given a list of rules that they can break throughout the morning.  Each rule that they break will cost them 50p.  Money will be given to the class teacher on the morning of the event.

     

     

  • Thursday 4 April - Ladies Night with S.A.K. Designs - 7.00pm

    Stacy Kilpatrick will be offering a makeup masterclass for one hour and then the ladies will have the opportunity to view a range of stalls around the hall. The price for adults (£10), concession (£8) and under 16 (£5), which includes light refreshments.  Tickets are available from the HUB members.

  • Irish Hockey Player to Visit MPS

    Irish hockey player, Zoe Wilson, who won a silver medal in the World Cup, will be visiting MPS on Friday 8 March.  Zoe, along with Christine, our hockey coach, will be taking a session with Mr Qua's P6 class.  Zoe will then take part in a question and answer session with the key stage 2 children. 

  • World Book Day 7 March 2019

    To celebrate World Book Day each class is participating in various reading activities.  Children should bring their favourite book to school.  Mrs George and Mrs Gardiner are inviting parents into their classrooms to read stories with the children.  During the day the school bell will ring at various times and when this happens everyone has to DROP EVERYTHING AND READ (DEAR) for 5 - 10 minutes - teachers included!  In Markethill PS we want our children to be readers, not just on World Book Day, but every day smiley.

  • World Maths Day 6 March 2019

    Lots of fun activities are happening in school to celebrate World Maths Day.  Our P1 - P3 classes are taking part in fun classroom activities and our P4 -P7 classes are participating in a Maths 'Minute to Win It' House challenge!  Take a look at our Facebook page for photographs.
